JHL 2013 Summer League Details Released

The 2013 Summer Jersey Hockey League

Summer Hockey: 10 game Guarantee, $300 per player or Full Team fee (16 or more) = $3600 ($200 per player for an 18 player team)

The JHL Summer Leagues are coming June and they will be better than ever. Compliment your off-season regimen with a quality game one day per week. AA and AAA teams welcomed. Serious hockey for the serious teams. Extend that short season midget program by being game ready in August.

Two Locations for games: Now in its 7th season, the Jersey Hockey League, the best Summer hockey in NJ with its home base in Howell will extend its reach north. The opening of Middletown Ice World at the Middletown Sports Complex will give the leagues an additional sheet of ice and an opportunity for more, high quality teams to participate with better ice times. Last season over 400 players participated in the Pro-AM, the U20, the U20 Futures, the U14, U12/U10, and U8/U6 leagues. This year we hope to double the number of teams, and give teams from Howell the opportunity to play some games at Middletown, while making it easier for quality players from North of the Raritan River to participate, and to give all teams more quality opponents.

Two levels at U20. For the Midget level player, the U20 and U20 Futures allows us to place your team in the appropriate bracket. While the top players in the U20 are accomplished Junior Hockey and Midget National players, the Futures division allows Midget 16 American and AA teams to compete against more balanced competition, with the best Futures teams crossing over to play some U20 games. The top Futures team will make the U20 Playoffs. With Midget seasons starting earlier than ever, this offers players a chance to begin playing as a team in preparation for the season during the first week of June.

Access to the Middletown Sports Complex which is a new ice arena facility complete with skyboxes, a restaurant, workout areas, meeting areas, 1,000 seats, as well as the Middletown Swim Club which is home to 4 pools. As a member of the JHL you will receive opportunities to use the pool club on game days. Each member of the JHL on Game Days/Nights will be given the opportunity to go for a swim either before or after their game on those days.

Full Teams with regular coaches. The Junior Titans have committed that they will be placing full teams in the league from their Junior Program, all the way down to Squirts.

D1 Talent in the Pro Am division, College players have always been a part of the Pro AM and this year will be no exception. Past players include James Van Riemsdyk (NHL), Kevin Keilt (BU), Dave De Kastrozza (AHL), Colby Cohen (NHL), Chris Zaires (Brown), Jack Walchessen (OHL), and countless other NCAA and Pro Hockey players. This is not your father’s men’s league.

AAA & AA caliber talent at all levels compete in regular season and playoff schedules.

Scorekeepers and on-line stats for every level, Pointstreak scoring with awards for top scorers and goalies. The JHL is run to keep its players involved in the league by providing weekly game recaps and previews, photos, videos, weekly and year-end awards and prizes, statistics and standings provided via pointstreak, and a fun and competitive atmosphere.
